Imagine a Personalized Memorial, Life Tribute or Funeral for your loved one…

Where you want to play your loved one’s favorite song…and we play it.

Where you want to put a favorite book into your loved one’s casket or grave – we welcome this.

Where you want to share a story about your loved one – and perhaps laugh and share joy – we encourage this.

You want to hand out red roses, the favorite flower of your loved one… we love this.

You want to create and share a creative DVD presentation of your loved one…we’ll assist you with this.

You want to incorporate rituals or traditions from your loved one’s religious faith…we’ll work with you on this.

You are open to holding your service in a chapel, mountain top, ocean’s edge, graveside…we will travel with you.

A celebration of life service should be what family or friends want as a service. As a Celebrant, I work along with you to design a beautiful and memorable service your loved one deserves.

Simply put: Your service, designed with loving care.

I am a non-denominational Ceremony Celebrant. My work life is dedicated to creating personalized, heart-centered and memorable end-of-life ceremonies throughout the Greater Seattle, Tacoma and Puget Sound area and throughout Washington State.

My Heart and Spiritual Background...

My life philosophy is spiritual in nature with love and kindness at its center. As an ordained, non-denominational minister, I honor and respect all beliefs and traditions, whether religious, spiritual or secular. I do not use a ceremony as a platform to promote my personal beliefs but to assist you in celebrating yours. Honesty, integrity and fairness are a part of my life in everything that I do. I was raised Christian and appreciate the tenets and rituals of all of the world's religions and faiths. I pursue a personal spiritual path, am a voracious reader and life-long learner and am working on a Master’s of Divinity Degree. I am a Certified Celebrant and have earned a Diploma in Marriage and Funeral Celebrancy through the Celebrant USA Foundation.

My Uniqueness...

As a Celebrant, I am the co-creator, consultant, resource person, encourager, advisor and the Officiant of your end-of-life ceremony. I orchestrate each ceremony with professionalism and heart, and always keep the focus on the couple. The underlying principle of Celebrancy is that you, the client, own the ceremony. I put dedicated time, energy and effort into officiating each end-of-life ceremony and offer valuable benefits to my clients that are unique, including a custom written ceremony, an assistant at all ceremonies (when necessary), "ceremony design and planning," and unlimited phone and email access before your ceremony.

My Personal Life and Passions...

I come to this work with a big heart, a happy life and marriage, great friends, an abiding love for animals and a commitment to lifelong learning. I spent 15 years in the corporate world, building and selling two successful event planning companies in the late 90's. Prior to this, I worked on-air in broadcast journalism for 5 years and hold a B.A. in Journalism from Syracuse University. My husband, Greg, is the love of my life and to me, the most wonderful man in the world (You absolutely are, Honey!). We live on Bainbridge Island and our family consists of four furry canines who were all rescued from abuse and neglect. My volunteer time is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating the most abused companion animals and care-taking special needs dogs.

Fees and Services...

Quality is the cornerstone of my work. Most of the families and individuals interested in my level of services are unique in that they recognize the quality/content of a ceremony is the "heart and soul" of their day. They pay a little more for the comfort and assurance of knowing they are contracting with a first-class Celebrant who comes with professional experience, impeccable references, and a gentle and enthusiastic spirit.
